Minister Kusari-Lila: MUNDA Kosova, an example of strategic investments in the manufacturing industry

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, visited the MUNDA Kosova factory in Obiliq, specializing in the production of textile components for the automotive industry, which is part of the supply chain of well-known international brands, including Audi.

During the visit, the Minister was received by the director of the factory, Kushtrim Grainca, with whom she discussed the production process, the development of the company and its contribution to the strengthening of the manufacturing industry in Kosovo. She was also closely acquainted with the work and commitment of the staff who contribute every day to the production of components for the automotive industry.

Kusari-Lila praised MUNDA Kosovo as a successful example of strategic foreign investments in the country. Founded in 2023 as a joint venture of the German companies AUNDE and MENTOR, the factory has realized an investment of about 7 million euros and currently employs over 280 people, more than 70 percent of them women.

The Minister emphasized that such investments prove Kosovo’s potential for the development of value-added production, the creation of quality jobs and the strengthening of the role of women in the manufacturing sector. She added that human capital remains one of the country’s most important assets and that such successes strengthen the economic partnership between Kosovo and Germany.

On this occasion, Kusari-Lila reiterated that the development of industrial clusters and free economic zones remains one of the priorities of MIETI, with the aim of creating more favourable conditions for investments, increasing the competitiveness of enterprises, fostering innovation and supporting the sustainable economic development of Kosovo.
