This event, organized for the first time by Innovation Centre Kosovo (ICK), STIKK, Innovation and Training Park (ITP), and Makerspace Prizren was considered a reminder that digital transformation does not have full meaning without the equal participation of women. According to the Minister, more and more women are creating opportunities for themselves, building businesses, accessing technology and leading with vision, even in challenging conditions.
She emphasized that the ICT sector in Kosovo represents a success story that was born from the initiatives of the non-governmental sector, businesses and the talent of young people, and also added that this sector has now entered a new phase, where better channeling is required through clear policies, financial support and institutional mechanisms that enable further growth and development of creative ideas.
The Minister stated that Kosovo has a golden opportunity to promote success stories, especially those of girls and women in innovation, by presenting a creative, innovative and potential image of the country.
During the meetings, she encouraged participants to continue to believe in themselves and their ideas, even in the face of obstacles, emphasizing that often the difference lies not in the lack of opportunities, but in the determination to move forward.
Finally, the Minister emphasized the responsibility of institutions to create more space, support and concrete opportunities for women entrepreneurs and innovators, expressing her belief that the future of innovation in Kosovo will be built by courageous women.
