Minister Kusari-Lila visited the Innovation and Training Park in Prizren

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, visited today the Innovation and Training Park (ITP) in Prizren, where she was closely informed about the activities, results and future plans of this project, which is considered one of the most important centers of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship in Kosovo.

During the visit, Minister Kusari-Lila was accompanied by the Director of the GIZ Office in Kosovo, David Oberhuber, the Executive Director of ITP Prizren, Muhamed Rexhepi, the Team Leader of ITP Prizren, Rudina Qerimi, the Deputy Head of the Mission at the German Embassy, ​​Christian Böttcher, the Head of Cooperation at the German Embassy, ​​Daniel Alker, the Director of the Office for Strategic Planning at the Prime Minister’s Office, Vedat Sagonjeva, as well as the Head of the Division for Financing at the Ministry of Finance, Dije Rizvanolli.

On this occasion, the minister praised the transformation of the ITP space, which from a former military barracks has been transformed into a modern center of innovation and economic development.

According to her, this transformation also reflects Kosovo’s own journey, from the challenges of the past towards a future based on knowledge, creativity, technology and entrepreneurship.
During the meetings, the future of the park, the challenges it faces, as well as opportunities for expanding its impact on the country’s economic development were discussed.


Minister Kusari-Lila was also informed about the new phase of the project’s development, which will focus in a more specialized manner on priority sectors of innovation and technology.

After seven years of operation, the Innovation and Training Park has achieved concrete results, with 16 companies located within the park and over 500 jobs created in an area of ​​40 hectares.

According to the minister, ITP Prizren has great potential to become a regional center of technology, research and entrepreneurship, connecting business, education and innovation, as well as positioning Kosovo as an increasingly attractive destination for investment and sustainable development.
