Minister Mimoza Kusari-Lila Participates in the Fourth Anniversary of the Establishment of the Women in Energy and Mining Network

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, participated in the event marking the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Women in Energy and Mining (WEM) network, which was held at the premises of AmCham Kosovo.

This panel, moderated by Shqipe Vela – chair of the network, was attended by: US Chargé d’Affaires Annu Prattipati, Deputy Head of the EU Office in Kosovo Eva Palatova, newly elected Director of KOSTT Trim Tërnava, and Director of AmCham Kosovo Arian Zeka.

The participants had an open and much-needed conversation about the future of the sector.

In her remarks, Minister Mimoza Kusari-Lila emphasized that the energy transition and sustainable development cannot be achieved without the full inclusion of women, not only as participants, but also as decision-makers and leaders in transformative processes. Energy and mining are not “traditionally male” sectors, they are strategic sectors, and strategy requires inclusiveness.

Minister Kusari-Lila also informed those present about the projects being developed within the framework of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, with a focus on local industry, innovation, and the circular economy as a foundation for sustainable growth.She expressed her readiness for close cooperation with women and girls in the sector and invited professionals to engage directly with the ministry she leads. The Minister assured the participants that the doors are open for concrete ideas and partnerships that bring real change. At the conclusion of her remarks, Minister Kusari-Lila congratulated the network:

“Congratulations to WEM on four years of outstanding work,  the road continues, and we must do it together!”
