Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari, together with the Ambassador of Republic of Kosovo in Belgium, Mr. Agron Bajrami and Director of Department for European Integration and Policy Coordination, Mr. Irfan Lipovica, have been received in a meeting by the Minister of Foreign Trade from the region of Brussels, Mr. Pascal Smet.
Minister Hajdari has informed Minister Smet on the latest achievements made by Republic of Kosovo, in particular reforms in the legislative framework which are continuously being made in accordance with the laws and legislation of European Union, emphasizing the growing economic indicators and international reports on the rule of law, which rank Kosovo first in the region.
Minister Smet thanked Minister Hajdari for the visit and expressed the will for cooperation, stating that in coordination with the Embassy of Kosovo in Brussels, they will consider the possibility of organizing a meeting in Brussels or Prishtina in order to strengthen the economic cooperation between two countries.
In the meeting also has been discussed about investments that have already been made in Kosovo by Belgian companies, as well the large number of Kosovo diaspora who live and have businesses in Brussels, in which case Minister Hajdari informed Minister Smet on the improvement of business environment in Kosovo, and for the facilities and safety that our country offers to the foreign investors.
Parties agreed to establish a liaison with the Brussels Chamber of Commerce, where all Brussels companies are represented, as well with "HUB Brussels", which is a public agency, in order to strengthen the economic cooperation between two countries.
