Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari, along with the Deputy Minister Mr. Getoar Mjeku and senior advisor, Mrs. Leman Hatashi, received in a meeting the Ambassador of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Mr. Tomáš Szunyog, accompanied by Mr. Vadim Deleu, policy officer in the Economy Unit and European Integration and Mrs. Daniela Humann, Duty Manager in the operations unit at the EU Office in Kosovo.
Minister Rozeta Hajdari informed the Ambassador Mr. Tomáš Szunyog on the ministry's priorities regarding industry development, entrepreneurship, improvement of the trade balance and progress towards European integration with the implementation of measures and obligations arising from the SAA.
Ambassadors z. Szunyog expressed gratitude for the time and opportunity to meet Minister Hajdari and informed her about the areas where the EU will support Kosovo, in: i) in implementation of important reforms for the establishment of standards and regulatory systems as obligations of the SAA; ii) in stimulating private sector development and attracting foreign direct investment; iii) strengthening consumer protection and quality infrastructure; iv) advancing Kosovo's regional economic integration, and v) balancing the trade deficit and increasing Kosovo's exports.
Minister Hajdari raised the support issue through IPA III Funds and other opportunities for support from the EU, which will help the faster implementation of plans and programs of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, which is now in need of re- structuring and capacity building for the growth and implementation of funds for the private sector development as a key pillar for socio-economic development.
