The French investor, Mr. Dominique Guérity, together with the Kosovar entrepreneur Mrs. Leonora Morel, who lived in Switzerland until 2015 and returned to Kosovo with her business activity Eco Exclusive Sh.p.k., presented the “Green Horizon” investment project aimed at establishing a modern agritourism farm in the Kaçanik region, consisting of components such as enhancement of manufacturing technology and establishment of a training center for professional skill building in green manufacturing.
During the discussion, the investors presented short- and long-term investment plans related to the farm construction for a herd of 100 cows and 50 calves, including robotic equipment for milk and hygiene, storage and processing of milk into refined cheese using French methods, treatment of organic waste to produce biogas for heating the factory, the "green class" student housing building, several small lodges for tourist accommodation, and an outdoor space to organize various market event activities.
Minister Hajdari expressed her high appreciation of the "Green Horizon" investment project, which will have an impact on sustainable economic growth and regional development, as well as involve Kosovar students and youth through training opportunities and increased cooperation between industry and academia.
The Minister further offered to support the initiative of Mr. Guérity and his associate Mrs. Morel by facilitating their communication with state institutions for implementing this investment in the 30.5ha plot owned by the Kosovo Forestry Agency and the 4.82ha plot owned by the Municipality of Kaçanik.
The new Law on Sustainable Investments promotes and protects responsible and sustainable investments in the Republic of Kosovo.
