Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari, together with the senior advisor Leman Hatashi, received today the Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Jan-Axel Voss, accompanied by the Economic Affairs Officer, Kushtrim Nimani and the Managing Director of the German-Kosovar Business Association (GKBA), Nora Hasani.
Minister Rozeta Hajdari informed the German Deputy Ambassador on the priorities of the ministry, underlining the gratitude for the German support and investment for sustainable economic development and the process of European integration reforms. She said that the private sector with the composition of SMEs as the key to ensuring economic growth, innovation, social integration and most importantly, job creation, is now facing losses due to the COVID 19 pandemic and in need of support for recovery, taking into consider the limited resources of SMEs and existing barriers to job retention and capital gain.
German Deputy Ambassador Voss stressed the importance of economic development in Kosovo where he mentioned German support and investment for sustainable economic development and the European integration reform process. He emphasized the special German project ITP- Innovation and Training Park, co-financed by the Government of Kosovo, which aims to increase the quality of enterprises in general and attracts foreign investment, becoming a solution area for local and foreign innovative enterprises, laboratories and certification centres.
Both praised the good relations between the two countries and reaffirmed their readiness to deepen and expand cooperation with the principles of good governance and investor care, including investments from the diaspora.
Whereas, the representative of GKBA, Nora Hasani presented to the Minister Hajdari two reports with good evidence 'A Foreign Investor` s Guide to Kosovo 2020' and 'Republic of Kosovo Facts and Figures – foreign policy, society, economy, culture', which will serve to attract and increase investment in the Republic of Kosovo.
