This decision aims to prevent disorder of petroleum prices in the market, especially during the month of end-of-year holidays, when our compatriots come to Kosovo, as well as ensure consumer protection, protection competition and avoid other disorders in the market.
The regular monitoring of the petroleum products market by the MIET’s Central Market Inspectorate concerning daily retail prices of petroleum products and daily information provided by the Kosovo Customs/MFLT on supply/import prices of petroleum products show an inadequacy of local prices compared to the large price reduction movements in the global market, which is the basis/trigger for the regulation of prices and the setting of other protective measures in this decision.
According to this decision:
– the maximum allowed wholesale trade margin is two (2) eurocents per liter, and
– the maximum allowed retail margin is twelve (12) euro cents per liter.
The maximum commercial margin allowed for wholesale and retail sales is calculated according to Article 4, paragraphs 1.1 and 1.2, of AI No. 03/2022 on Regulation of Prices of Petroleum Products and Renewable Fuels and Other Protective Measures.
This decision enters into force one (1) day after publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Kosovo.
