The Arbëresh delegation from Calabria participating in Hardh Fest 2025 was represented by Ms. Anna Madeo, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Calabria, Mr. Giuliano Conforti, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of San Giorgio Albanese, representing all the Arbëresh Municipalities of Calabria, Ms. Aurelia Sprovieri from the Municipality of San Giorgio Albanese, Father Sorin Hagi Ilie, Priest of the Church of Saint Mary of Constantinople in Vaccarizzo Albanese, also the organizer of the Arbëreshë Wine Competition, Mr. Pier Paolo Olivito, Journalist at Calabrianews24, representative of the Regional Agency for the Agricultural Development of Calabria (ARSAC) and Mr. Pino Mariani, Representative of the Italian Trade Association Coldiretti and Wine Producer. Minister Hajdari and the representatives of the Arbëreshë delegation met many successful local winemakers and winemakers with warm hospitality, generously offering them their valuable wine and brandy products. They expressed their gratitude to MIET for providing direct financial support to winemakers, developing policies and programs for the local industry, as well as international agreements reached by MIET, resulting in increased competitiveness of local enterprises, free trade and increased exports of local wines to international markets.
Communication between local and Arbëresh winemakers will continue through the organization of events of common interest in Kosovo and Calabria, starting with the participation of Kosovar winemakers in the Arbëresh Wine Competition and the participation of Arbëresh winemakers in Hardh Fest 2026.
MIET will support events to promote and create partnerships between entrepreneurs from Kosovo and Calabria, with great potential for strengthening economic cooperation with the Arbëresh people in Italy.
