Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala, is attending the Western Balkans Summit in Poznan,
Poland, representing the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
Minister Shala in his speech at this Summit said that the Republic of Kosovo is making daily changes
to the legal infrastructure to create better conditions for foreign investors.
"The Government of Kosovo, namely the Ministry of Trade and Industry is working daily on the legal
infrastructure for attracting foreign direct investments, for the first effects after the implementation
of the Law on Strategic Investment," said Shala.
The Minister also mentioned the opportunities that Kosovo offers to foreign investors, saying that
Kosovo has worked hard in building modern infrastructure that will enable the connection with the
Balkan countries.
"Kosovo already has the most modern highways, which enables the Republic of Kosovo's connection
with the Balkan countries for record time. Also, we have an extremely innovative youth that loves
work, "said the minister.
The minister announced that they are working on reforms and improving the environment in doing
business.
The Minister has also requested that regional agreements be seen as a two-way street and be
respected by all involved parties.
This Summit is being held within the Berlin Process, aiming to strengthen regional cooperation and
advancement of the European integration process.
