Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala, today has proposed to the Government of Kosovo the approval of the Ministry of Trade and Industry initiative for negotiation and the preparation of an agreement between the state of Kosovo and Qatar for the promotion and mutual protection of investments.
Minister Shala emphasized that the purpose of this agreement is to deepen the economic cooperation between the two states.
"Aiming to promote and create favourable conditions for the promotion and protection of investments where each Contracting Party promotes and encourages investments within its territory by investors of other Contracting Party and in the same manner shall accept such investments in its territory in comply with its laws and regulations,” said Shala.
According to the minister, this agreement will contribute to the development of economic relations between Kosovo and Qatar, which will enhance reciprocal, beneficial, commercial, economic cooperation and at the same time will give investors of both countries security and assurance that their investments will be protected and treated entirely under the law.
"Mutual investments will help the economies of two countries, especially Kosovo, which is already on the way of overall development," said Minister Shala.
