The Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala, in support of foreign and local businesses, today signed a decision on giving consent for the establishment of the Economic Zone, respectively Opterushe Industrial Park in the Municipality of Rahovec, based on the fact that the criteria foreseen by the legislation in force are met.
Minister Shala emphasized that 34 hectares are foreseen to be set up by foreign and local businesses, affecting employment growth and economic development of the country.
“The Ministry of Trade and Industry is creating opportunities for businesses in all municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo, by building economic zones. This area will serve businesses to have better facilities to exercise their activities and the number of employees is expected to be around 600 people”, said Shala.
He stressed that the ministry's role is to create the best conditions for businesses, by working hard to empower them for being competitive.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry will finance the infrastructure of this area with about 3 million euros, giving importance to the country's economic development.
Investments in municipalities will continue to build economic zones and incubators, making Kosovo an attractive place for doing business.
