Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala, hosted today the Minister of Tourism and Environment of the Republic of Albania, Blendi Klosi, along with the Mayors of Vlora and Himara, Dritan Leli and Jorgo Goro.
Minister Shala stressed that with Minister Klosi we discussed about deepening the cooperation and creating a joint tourist offer.
"We discussed with Minister Klosi to deepen the cooperation in the field of tourism, a competence that is in the domain of the ministry that I lead. We also discussed about the possibility of creating joint offers so that foreign tourists have joint offers aiming that those who visit Albania can also visit Kosovo and vice versa. We agree with Klosi to offer joint stands to the tour operators from Kosovo and Albania for promotions and offers of tourism that we have as two countries, "said Minister Shala.
The minister mentioned that during the year, around five million visitors visit Kosovo, and nearly 26 percent are from the Republic of Albania, or over 800 thousand.
Whereas, Minister Klosi said that many citizens from Kosovo, during the summer season choose Albania as a destination, stressing that administrative barriers cannot hinder the tourism.
"We should not think that the sea is the treasure of the Albanian state. The sea is the treasure of the entire Albanian nation. We want to offer the most beautiful tourism of Albania and Kosovo. The offer of Albania and Kosovo cannot be hampered by administrative barriers, "said Klosi.
