This decision follows continuous market monitoring of petroleum products, based on daily data from the Kosovo Customs and reports from the Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate, where it was identified that changes in import supply prices often lead to immediate increases in retail prices, while proportional decreases do not occur when supply prices fall.
The decision sets the maximum allowable trade margins as follows:
Wholesale: up to 2 euro cents per liter
Retail: up to 12 euro cents per liter
This decision takes effect one day after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Kosovo and provides for increased inspection oversight by the Market Inspectorate in cooperation with Customs and the Tax Administration.
The decision ensures fair competition and consumer protection in the market of the Republic of Kosovo.
