Minister of Trade and Industry, Hykmete Bajrami, visited the Municipality of Suhareka today where she was received by the Mayor of this municipality, Sali Asllanaj.
On this occasion, Minister Bajrami and Mayer Asllanaj signed the agreement for the co-financing of the project for construction of the Economic Zone in Shiroka of the Municipality of Suhareka.
In her speech, Minister Bajrami emphasized that the Ministry of Trade and Industry, respectively the Government of Kosovo, has as its priority the establishment and functioning of Industrial Zones in the Republic of Kosovo in order to create optimal conditions for the work of Kosovo businesses as well as attracting investors from abroad.
The functionalism of this Economic Zone will greatly contribute to the growth of business activity of enterprises by bringing economic benefits not only for the Municipality of Suhareka but for the entire country, said mrs. Bajrami.
She added that "the up till now improvement of the regulatory environment for doing business in our country is being followed by concrete investment steps in improving business infrastructure and this is producing encouraging results for our country's economy."
The value of the investment in this project for 2017 is 391,071.29 euro, of which MTI contributes with 345,000.00 euro, while the Municipality of Suhareka with 46,071.29 euro.
