The Ministry of Trade and Industry has signed a cooperation agreement with the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), which will serve the private sector to create facilitating interventions, which will further develop the private sector and raise entrepreneurial awareness in Kosovo. .
On behalf of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the agreement was signed by the Secretary General, Burim Rreci, while on behalf of ECIKS, the ADA implementation partner the agreement was signed by the project manager, Durim Hoxha.
The Minister of Trade and Industry said that he is extremely pleased with Kosovo's cooperation with Austria and praised the role of this country in supporting Kosovar businesses.
While Secretary Rreci said that they have the support of Minister Krasniqi to advance the processes and initiatives that support Kosovo businesses.
While the head of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) office in Kosovo, Gunther Zimmer, said that the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) through the ACCESS project continues to support the development of the private sector in Kosovo in order to further strengthen private enterprises and fight poverty. According to Zimmer, the project will have an impact on rural development, higher education, stimulating foreign investment and strengthening the private sector.
The project will increase the results of higher incomes and employment opportunities in more stable market systems. This project will also contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of private sector companies and increasing their revenues through sustainable market access and stronger regional and cross-border links.
The value of the project is 1 million and 500 thousand euros, while the Ministry of Trade and Industry together with the Ministry of Economic Development will participate with 300 thousand euros.
From this project it is expected that results will be obtained in the relevant new digital tools and services that will be available and used by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of Kosovo (MSME); Kosovo SMEs will improve their level of digitalization and create market links as well as business consultants will provide digitalization services, which should be effective and affordable for SMEs.
