The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, received in a meeting the President of the Tourism Union of Kosovo, Baki Hoti, with whom he discussed the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the tourism sector.
Minister Krasniqi emphasized that the topic of this meeting was the publication of the survey form, where the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), in cooperation with the Tourism Union of Kosovo (TUK), has started research on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the tourism sector.
According to him, the research will include tourism and hotel businesses, more precisely it will include the accommodation sector, tour operators and travel agencies, transport agencies, gastronomy sector, tourist guides, as well as tourist sites.
The Minister of MTI, Vesel Krasniqi and the President of TUK, Baki Hoti assessed that this research aims to identify data about the impact caused by the pandemic from March to December 2020 and the losses caused in economic aspect, in employment, as well as the needs for recovery of this sector.
