MTI is committed to help businesses

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, held a virtual meeting with UNDP representatives in Kosovo, with whom he discussed the possibility of cooperation.

Minister Krasniqi informed the UNDP representatives about the difficulties that Kosovo is facing, and in particular businesses in these circumstances created by the pandemic.

The Minister emphasized the commitment of the Government of Kosovo that with the approval of the package for economic recovery, which according to him, is expected to receive the green light in the Assembly of Kosovo, where opportunities will be created to help businesses.

“Apart from this Government program, the Ministry of Trade and Industry is committing itself to help businesses in other ways as well", said Minister Krasniqi.

The Minister requested from the UNDP to support him in projects to help businesses, where he presented a concrete project, which includes the engagement of 600 graduates, who would be engaged in businesses.

 “Newly graduated students will have the opportunity to put their theoretical study into practice. In this way, in addition to helping them in their professional training, it will also help businesses from their engagement", said the minister.

For the realization of this project, Minister Krasniqi said that he will seek support from other international organizations to jointly implement this project.

UNDP representatives praised the commitment of Minister Krasniqi, by saying that the support for professional skills and abilities has never been lacking from UNDP, and promising that they will look at all possibilities for this project to be implemented.
