Within the “Small Business Days 2017”, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), namely the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), also in cooperation with the Municipality of Ferizaj, held an informational conference with the businesses of Ferizaj region.
The conference was attended by representatives from: MTI, Municipality of Ferizaj, TAK, Kosovo Customs, KEDS/KESCO, and business representatives of this area.
Minister of Trade and Industry, Bajram Hasani, in his informational speech to businesses emphasized the services provided by the government institutions, respectively Ministry of Trade and Industry in the continuous support and promotion they are doing in the development of entrepreneurship and creating better conditions for business in general.
“Ministry of Trade and Industry will continue to be supportive of local businesses and will be committed to creating facilities for these businesses", said Minister Bajram Hasani at the meeting with the Ferizaj businesses.
Minister Hasani once again reiterated that the Government of Kosovo is determined to empower and give special importance to production, since production can generate employment and overall development of the country.
He announced that despite having no large amount of funds, they are interested in supporting the businesses with grants since 2018. He also stressed that Ferizaj is one of the municipalities with a significant number of businesses, so he asked the mayor of this municipality to designate a location for the establishment of an economic zone that would be of great interest to the businesses of this region, where new opportunities will be created for the entrepreneurship development of this area.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Ferizaj, Agim Aliu, called Ferizaj the capital of business and said he would be supportive for further development of these businesses. He further pledged to be a supporter of the empowerment and creation of better conditions in existing areas, but also in new economic zones.
Whereas, Director General of the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency – KIESA, Besian Mustafa, presented the services of this agency in supporting entrepreneurship and promoting Kosovo products abroad.
