Embassy of Japan in Kosovo and Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade co-host an online business seminar aiming at introducing up-dated information for the investment climate in Kosovo.

Today, the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo hosted “Developing Your Business in Kosovo”, an online business seminar together with Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, supported by Embassy of Japan in Austria and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). The online seminar consists of presentations made by public and private sectors from Japan and Kosovo, aiming at introducing up-dated information for the investment climate in Kosovo.

In the first session, Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo Mr. Mitsunori OGASAWARA made an introductory presentation about Kosovo in general including the relationship between Kosovo and Japan. His presentation was followed by Japanese institutions such as JETRO, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Balkan Office, Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and several Japanese companies whom already has business in the region.

The second session started with the welcoming speech by the Ambassador of Japan to Kosovo, H.E. Akira MIZUTANI. Then, Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade HAJDARI introduced latest developments in Kosovo with the emphasis on the potentials and incentives that Republic of Kosovo offers to foreign investment. The aim is to strengthen the corporation of both countries where is emphasised the political stability, youth potential, low tax system and developing infrastructure which improves connectivity and speed trade and investment opportunities in several industrial sectors such as: energy and mining, agriculture food processing, tourism, ICT, green economy, construction and infrastructure, wood and metal industry, rubber and plastic industry, textile and leather industry and chemical industry etc.

Presentations on incentives by Ministry of Finance, Kosovo Investments and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA) and practises shared from several entities from private sector related to Japanese companies were also delivered at the seminar.
