All interested parties (Conformity Assessment Bodies) are hereby notified that the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade – Kosovo Metrology Agency, pursuant to Article 13, paragraphs 2, 3 and 4 and Article 35 of the Law No. 06/L-037 on Metrology, Article 19 of the Administrative Instruction (GRK) No. 12/2018 on the Manner of Designation of Conformity Assessment Bodies, that it announces a Public Invitation for the designation of Conformity Assessment Bodies for the applicable areas of legal metrology, covered by:
- the Administrative Instruction No. 03/2024 on the Technical-Metrological Requirements for the Designation of Conformity Assessment Bodies for Specific Areas of Legal Metrology – Annex 18 – Verification of Taximeters.
- the Administrative Instruction No. 03/2024 on the Technical-Metrological Requirements for the Designation of Conformity Assessment Bodies for Specific Areas of Legal Metrology – Annex 21 – Verification of Tachographs and Speed Limiters.
The above-mentioned legal acts can be found on the website of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade.
The application for designation and the completed documentation should be submitted to the Archive of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade.
Conformity assessment bodies for the applicable areas of legal metrology must be accredited based on Article 13 (3) and Article 35 (2) of the Law No. 06/L-037 on Metrology,
Service fees for conducting conformity assessment – verification of taximeters and tachographs, must be in accordance with the applicable legislation.
The Public Invitation will be open for 30 calendar days from the date of publication in the media.
For any ambiguity, all economic operators applying for designation under the competency of the above-mentioned areas may attend to the Metrology Agency in advance to consult for advice on completing the file before the case is submitted to the MIET archive.
