Ratification of Agreement for Kosovo’s Participation in the European Union Single Market Program is an important step towards the integration process

Members of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo ratified today with 91 votes in favor the International Agreement with the European Union for the Common Market Program with a budget of EUR 4.2 billion for the period 2021-2027 as an extraordinary benefit opportunity for businesses and organizations in the Republic of Kosovo.

This program aims to strengthen the supervision of the internal market, improve the competitiveness of the industry, in particular of micro, small and medium enterprises, enhance consumer protection including food safety, as well as improve statistics and the financial sector.

Through this program, the businesses and organizations of Kosovo can interact with the businesses and organizations of the member states of the European Union and the states in the process of joining the EU.

The international agreement for Kosovo's participation in the European Single Market Program was signed on May 11 of last year by Minister Rozeta Hajdari and the European Commission's Director-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) Mrs. Kerstin Jorna.

Thanks to today's vote by the members of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo and the entry into force of this International Agreement with the European Union for the Single Market Program, Kosovo organizations and businesses can sign grant agreements with EISMEA (European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency, https://eismea.ec.europa.eu/index_en)
