Pursuant to the Law 03/L-244 on State Reserve Goods, Article 9, states that the location of state reserve goods is a state secret and all data on them are kept confidential.
The news published in some media (portals) on "the amount of grain in stocks and the disappearance of a quantity" is not in accordance with the laws in force.
Especially, at a time when the entire country is facing the pandemic of COVID 19.
We are committed in maximum that together with manufacturers and traders of wheat and flour create the MAXIMUM SUPPLY SECURITY that has been created after a sudden increase of the flour purchased by the consumers.
We will overcome it quickly, based on the collaboration with all manufacturers who are working at full capacity. We are constantly importing quantities and gradually the demand in the market is decreasing.
The publication in the media, in the situation we are, does not contribute to the general state and citizen mobilization. State reserves are managed based on the law on state reserves and shall be put back into circulation, based on the law, by assessing the situation.
As a ministry we are committed for citizens to not feel the lack of the essential products, where we thank all businesses for their sense of responsibility and for being fair to their customers. We encourage them to be at the height of the responsibility they have during these times.
Regarding the quantities mentioned in the text, the law does not allow us to comment on them. As well as, the same law does not allow us to talk about any irregularities in this matter.
