The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET), in order to inform the public opinion fairly and make transparent decisions, through this official announcement refutes the tendentious and untrue article published in the AlbanianPost medium, dated August 15, respectively August 28 2024/12:11, according to which MIET, after the reports by AlbanianPost, cancels the competition for the senior management position “Executive Director” in the Kosovo Investments and Enterprise Support Agency.
After the entry into force of the LAW ON SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENTS NO. 08/L-209, dated August 22, 2024, the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET) has canceled the competition announced in order not to create an overlap of the existing executive powers in compliance with relevant law.
With the entry into force of this law, the Kosovo Investments and Enterprise Support Agency in the Republic of Kosovo – KIESA established by the Law on Foreign Investments shall be seized and the following Agencies shall be established in its place:
1. Agency of Investments and Exports (AIE); and
2. Agency for Innovation and Support to Enterprises in the Republic of Kosovo (AISEK).
Based on the legal provisions as defined in this law, the Kosovo Investments and Enterprise Support Agency in the Republic of Kosovo – KIESA, will be reconstructed with specific executive responsibilities and divisions. The internal organization and systematization of jobs in the Agency for Innovation and Support to Enterprises in the Republic of Kosovo (AISEK), within the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, is done by a sub-legal act, in accordance with the relevant Law on Organization and Operation of State Administration and Independent Agencies.
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET) guarantees the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that all competitions and recruitment processes will be developed in full compliance with the legislation on the functioning of the State Administration. Moreover, these processes will be open and will comply with the principles of transparency and meritocracy.
