Yesterday was held, the Regional Conference “Regional Investment Promotion”, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kosovo in cooperation with the partners Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia (ECNWM) and Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro (CCM). This conference took place within the implementation of the regional project by the Western Balkans Fund and aims to increase regional cooperation.
In this meeting were invited the representatives of local and regional institutions, local and international partners, diplomatic representatives as well as businesses from the country and the region.
In her welcoming speech to those present at this conference, Minister Rozeta Hajdari said that close regional cooperation within the Berlin Process contributes to faster development and integration in the European Union. She informed those present about the aim and objectives of the industrial policy and about the finalization of drafting the law on sustainable investments, drafted by MIET, aiming on industrial development and increasing protection of investments in our Republic.
Minister Hajdari emphasized the importance of developing the value chain at the regional level, where industries from countries of the region with their potentials can complement each other and benefit from the "near shoring" trends after COVID 19 and the latest geopolitical developments. In conclusion, she presented to those present, the competitive advantages for investments in the Republic of Kosovo, with the positive indicators for good governance and the growth of democracy and economy in our country.
At the end of the conference, discussion panels were organized, where institutional representatives from Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and from businesses had the opportunity to introduce to each other and exchange their contacts for cooperation.
