Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala, hosted today the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Malta, Carmelo Abela, where they discussed about deepening the cooperation and increasing the trade exchanges.
Minister Shala stressed that good political and diplomatic relations between the two states should also be reflected in economic terms, agreeing to increase trade exchanges between Kosovo and Malta.
"Kosovo and Malta have excellent diplomatic relations. Me and Minister Abela have agree and we are committed that these good relations between the two states in the political aspect to transform them in trade aspect, as well, and I believe that this meeting shall be taken as a good start for our trade relations for having another level from the one that is today, "said Minister Shala.
MTI`s Minister, Endrit Shala has informed the Minister of Malta, Carmelo Abela, on the possibility and potential that Kosovo offers to foreign investors and the facilities offered by the Law on Strategic Investments.
"The Republic of Kosovo offers tremendous opportunities for foreign investors due to many reasons, starting with the most important fact that Kosovo has a very innovative and creative youth, as well as favorable taxes and the Law on Strategic Investment, which creates facilities for any investor who plans to invest in our country, "said Minister Shala.
Shala thanked the Minister Abela for the contribution he provided during the various stages of the
state building of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Malta, Carmelo Abela, said that his country will continue to support the Republic of Kosovo by helping it in terms of economic empowerment and by increasing trade exchanges.
