At the same time, the Kosovo Metrology Agency continued laboratory verification of meters, where deviations in date and time were again identified, but no inaccuracies were found in the measurement of electricity consumption.
It is worth noting that the Verification Commission has found that an electric meter cannot be subject to laboratory verification, as its type has been withdrawn by decision since December 2014. In accordance with the legislation in force, the Central Market Inspectorate (CMI) will continue to impose fines on KEDS.
For the deviations found in the verified meters, reports have already been submitted to the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) for further processing.
The number of consumer complaints has reached 500, so the Verification Commission will continue its work even during the weekends.
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation remains committed to making the reports of verified meters, in which deviations and expired validity periods have been found, available to the judicial authorities, which have already begun investigations into this matter.
