The Central Inspectorate for Market Supervision (CIMS), within the framework of implementing the decisions of the competent institutions, today began implementing measures to remove from the market all products declared on the label as containing vegetable origin fat (palm oil and coconut oil).
Today, the Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA) ordered nine companies to withdraw from the market products declared to contain vegetable origin fat.
To verify the implementation of this order, this afternoon, the Central Inspectorate for Market Supervision has begun inspections in category B and C markets, aiming at identifying and removing products from display and sale.
Companies with products declared on the labeling with vegetable origin fat:
“Drena” LLC;
“Bylmeti KS” LLC;
“Koral Dayri” LLC;
“Magic Ice Joint Stock” JSC;
“Opatija Comerc” LLC;
“Aldi” dairy;
“Gexha” LLC;
“ABI” LLC; and
“Natyra-G” LLC,
must be withdrawn from the market immediately.
Meanwhile, for the products of the company “Abrazen – Vita”, the inspection process is still in progress.
The above-mentioned entities have been ordered to immediately cease the processing and packaging of products containing vegetable fat, as well as to remove from display and sale all composite products included in this measure.
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation (MIETI), through the Central Inspectorate for Market Supervision, will continue to monitor the implementation of these measures throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo and will take the actions foreseen by the legislation in force against any entity that does not respect the orders of the competent institutions.
