The first internationally recognized certificate of origin is submitted

The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Jeton Mehmeti, participated in the ceremony of delivering the first certificate of origin with international standards for a product produced in Kosovo.

Following the admission of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce to the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Global Network and its accreditation in June 2026 for issuing Certificates of Origin, today the first certificate with international standards was issued for the company FLUIDI Group, for sunflower oil.

The Certificate of Origin represents more than a document accompanying a product. It proves the identity and origin of the product, as well as the standards and quality of work of local producers. At the same time, it constitutes a concrete step towards increasing the credibility of Kosovo products, expanding exports and strengthening their presence in global markets.

In this process, the diaspora continues to remain an important bridge connecting Kosovo to international markets and an important partner for investment, exports and economic development. Through its connections with foreign businesses and markets, the diaspora can play an important role in creating new partnerships and opening up opportunities for Kosovar producers.

The issuance of the first certificate of origin with international standards for a local product thus represents an important step in the process of internationalizing Kosovar production and in promoting the “Made in Kosovo” identity, as a sign of quality, reliability and potential of local products.
