The Economic Forum between Kosovo and Croatia, held yesterday in Prishtina, is a high indicator of the commitment of both countries to strengthen good relations between the two countries in all areas.
Those present at this forum were addressed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, under whose auspices this forum was organized. The Prime Minister spoke about the historical, political and geographical relations between the Kosovo and Croatian people. He said that now is the time to strengthen economic relations as well.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari, highlighted the advantages of economic cooperation and the importance of the private sector. She expressed her satisfaction that 50 Croatian businesses and 80 Kosovo businesses were also present, which had the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences and interests in the respective business areas.
Hajdari emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has taken steps to approve policies and laws that promote a positive environment for doing business.
She said that policies to support investments with competitive nearshoring advantages have increased confidence to invest in the Republic of Kosovo.
Minister Hajdari thanked the senior Croatian representatives who were present, expressing gratitude for their willingness and interest in deepening the economic relations between Kosovo and Croatia, in particular thanking the Croatian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mr. Davor Filipović, for bringing 50 Croatian businesses to this forum.
During the Forum, a Cooperation Agreement between the two countries in the area of tourism was also signed by the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari and the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Croatia, Mr. Tonči Glavina.
Minister Hajdari spoke about the importance of this agreement, underlining the rapid growth of tourism in the global economy.
B2B meetings between representatives of business communities from both countries were also held within the Forum.
