The Concept Document on the Law on Kosovo Chamber of Commerce drafted by the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, aims to improve the legal framework for the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, where the protection of businesses and business associations interests in Kosovo with the new law would be enabled, and would positively influence the establishment of a fair competition and sustainable growth of our businesses, in compliance with the best EU principles and practices.
It is worth noting that, there was no new law drafted on Kosovo Chamber of Commerce since the UNMIK time, and the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce still functions with that respective old law, without a clear definition of the competencies and functions of the Chamber members and its governing bodies.
With the new law, the role and competencies of the members and governing bodies of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce will be clearly defined, and the KCC membership fees will be categorized, always in the service of our businesses and business associations.
By connecting businesses, supporting entrepreneurs, protecting business interests, promoting business activities and representing Chamber members, promoting the improvement of the workforce qualification and their decent employment, production of local products with high added value, as well as other activities and events, the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce is expected to have a special role in rapid economic, social and environmental development in our Republic.
