The establishment of this park was initiated and proposed by the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, through the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA).
This park will be built on the 22nd kilometre along the highway Prishtina – Peja, in the village of Korretice e Eperme, in front of the existing Business Park in Drenas.
The General Park will have an area of 36.50 hectares, owned by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and will accommodate up to 50 businesses, mainly with manufacturing and processing activities.
This park aims to:
Encouraging and supporting sustainable investments, with production and processing activities, which will operate in the form of an innovative ecosystem
Employment and training of the labour force
Encouraging activities that contribute to the circular economy
Increasing competitiveness and supporting exports and
Promoting and transferring advanced technology.
Unlike the existing parks, the latter will have an environment with friendly characteristics for the environment, easy access to roads, energy, water, lighting and sanitation.
The establishment of this General Industrial Park is based on Law No. 08/L-208 on Industrial and Technological Parks and the relevant Administrative Instructions based on which KIESA Agency has initiated the application procedures for the establishment of the Park, owned by Government of the Republic of Kosovo, and has obtained all the necessary permits and consents, including the feasibility study and the main project for the proposal for the establishment of this General Industrial Park in Drenas.
This is another step towards the economic development of the country.
