In the Industrial Property Agency (IPA), from January 1 to August 31 of this year, 1459 objects of industrial property were received. 1472 applications for Trademarks, 17 applications for Protection of Invention, 5 applications for Protection of Industrial Design and 1 application for the Protection of Geographic Indicator.
During this period, 3445 official documents were issued to the parties that have applied or submitted requests for services to the Industrial Property Agency, as well as 6 official bulletins were published, containing 3157 industrial property objects.
Also, through Online Register and Official Bulletin, parties of interest can see the examination progress of their applications. Whereas, third parties through these public mechanisms can submit objections or remarks for applications published in IPA`s Official Bulletin.
Industrial Property Agency, which operates within the Ministry of Trade and Industry, is responsible for the legal protection of invention, trademark, industrial design, designation of origin, geographic indications and topographies of integrated circuits, as well as other issues arising from the international agreements, signed by the Republic of Kosovo.
