Following numerous complaints from citizens, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, namely the Market Inspectorate, has taken the action to seize the counterfeit goods and goods issued without invoices.
This action is being taken to protect the legality and trademarks that are protected by law.
The Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Lulzim Syla has stated that the action is being carried out in cooperation with Kosovo Customs and Police, which will continue throughout Kosovo.
Syla said that he had also urged municipal inspectorates to enforce the law and remove counterfeit brands from the market.
“The action will continue throughout Kosovo. All goods will be searched and those without legal coverage will be confiscated. I thank the Kosovo Police and Customs for the cooperation shown and in the coming days we will be in the field together with the MTI inspectors”, said Syla.
Today's MTI`s action has seized hundreds of pairs of known brands of sneakers that have been forged and have not been covered by invoices.
MTI urges all citizens to report to the Market Inspectorate at the Ministry of Trade and Industry if they encounter such cases, where immediate action will be taken.
