Highly appreciating the continuous support of the International Partnership and the diverse contribution of the Diaspora in the multi-year processes of state building, development and integration of the Republic of Kosovo in the Euro-Atlantic institutions, Minister Rozeta Hajdari informed the attendees about the policies and structural reforms during this governing mandate, with results in improving the environment for doing business and economic and democratic progress, which directly affect the promotion of foreign investments and diaspora in our country.
In her speech, Minister Hajdari emphasized the visible progress of the Republic of Kosovo, according to many international reports, in particular according to the Progress Report of the European Commission, for the period June 2022 – June 2023, completing the legislative framework in accordance with EU directives, drawn up by the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade.
Among dozens of approved laws, she emphasized the advantages of the new laws for sustainable investments, for industrial and technological parks, for trade, tourism, as well as the new draft law for innovation and entrepreneurship, through which it is easier to do fair business, adaptable and competitive, promoting and protecting investments with equal treatment in the Republic of Kosovo and facilitating foreign trade.
Regarding the importance that the Government of Kosovo attaches to the industrial production sectors, Minister Hajdari emphasized the Industrial Policy 2030 approved for the first time since the post-war period, the analysis of which highlights the potential of the growing industrial production sectors and the potential for investment promotion.
"Industrial Policy with the relevant laws will have their important role, to improve the overall performance of investments in Kosovo, especially in production, so that it becomes the main driver for an economy with higher income and the improvement of well-being socio-economic of our citizens'' said Minister Hajdari.
While the director of the Agency for Investments and Enterprise Support in Kosovo (KIESA), Mr. Zef Dedaj, spoke about the support schemes for start-ups, small and medium enterprises, about the services offered to a local, diaspora and foreign investor, before the investment process in Kosovo, about the post-investment care phase for investors, as well as for the establishment of the Innovation Fund for the development of the innovation ecosystem in the Republic of Kosovo.
