The visit of Mr. Cumming is special and of high importance, after the visit of the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom Mr. David Cameron in Kosovo, in January of this year, with the aim of expanding the economic cooperation between our countries.
Minister Hajdari, during the meeting with Mr. Cumming highly appreciated the relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the United Kingdom, as a friendly state and permanent supporter of our country.
With the full will to strengthen economic cooperation and the importance of British investments in Kosovo, Minister Hajdari informed Mr. Cumming for the obvious economic and democratic progress of the country, with the policies and structural reforms during this governing mandate, which have contributed to increasing credibility and creating a favourable environment for the promotion and protection of foreign investments in our country.
Talking with Mr. Cumming for strategic sectors, within the framework of policies and laws for the promotion and protection of investments, Minister Hajdari emphasized the need for investments in further development of the potential of the manufacturing industry and the increase of exports, sustainable tourism, as well as the potential for the development of innovation and entrepreneurship, in which areas economic cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the United Kingdom is expected to deepen.
The parties agreed on more exchanges and activities to strengthen economic cooperation within the framework of the Partnership, Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the United Kingdom.
