As Minister Kusari-Lila stated, they discussed the concrete steps we are taking for the economic development of the country and for the implementation of the recent agreement approved by the Kosovo Assembly, which aims to improve the physical infrastructure for trade, support the private sector, increase investments and improve quality infrastructure.
According to the minister, a special focus will be on improving the conditions for doing business for underrepresented categories, such as empowering women and youth in the economy – these are priority issues for us as a ministry and for me as the head of this department.
She stated that within the framework of this agreement, two concrete projects will be implemented: strengthening the capacities of the Kosovo Metrology Agency (KMA) and improving fuel quality control systems, with the aim of increasing standards and protecting consumers.
Also, during the conversation, the coordination of our priority actions and projects for MIETI for the upcoming period was discussed in detail: the development of ecological industrial parks, the creation of environmental standards, park management models, raising operating standards in green industrial zones, as well as further strengthening the capacities of the Market Inspectorate, advancing digitalization and consumer protection.
