Kosova Chamber of Commerce (KCC), Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Kosovo Customs have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote the “International Trade Guide” trade portal. This platform was launched in February this year, supported by the USAID Regional Project for Regional Economic Growth – Component for Trade Facilitation, as a continuation of the platform created in 2013, within the USAID Project Business Environment Enhancement (PPMA).
The Instruction to International Trade aims to help exporters and importers of goods and services in Kosovo to conduct international trade transactions. It is a good instruction for foreign companies that consider trade with Kosovo and provide important information about them.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Burim Rreci, said that through this platform companies will receive the necessary information. "Our institutional cooperation clearly shows Kosovo's readiness to increase transparency, especially in terms of trade. We, within this project, have first identified the necessary licenses and licenses issued by Kosovo authorities in the field of trade, which are on this portal, "said Rreci.
The memorandum signed today foresees co-operation in updating existing data, supplementing it with new data and promoting this platform in order to increase the credibility of companies with regard to the information provided on it. Cooperation also envisages the exchange of officials and experts to build institutional capacity within the Trade Facilitation Component.
