The OECD High Level Conference on South East Europe: Driving Competitiveness, Achieving Convergence, was held in Paris. This high-level conference included participation from the OECD, countries of South-East Europe, and member countries of the European Union. The OECD Report “Competitiveness Outlook 2024” was launched during the conference, showcasing findings on competitiveness measurements for the six Western Balkan countries.
The Republic of Kosovo was represented at this conference by the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari, and the Acting General Director of the KIESA agency Mr. Zef Dedaj, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in France, Mr. Mehdi Halimi.
As the national coordinator for the OECD, KIESA in coordination with deputy coordinators from relevant ministries and public institutions, has coordinated the collection of qualitative and quantitative data to assess 15 dimensions of competitiveness for the "Competitiveness Outlook 2024" Report.

and it highlights the remarkable achievements of the Republic of Kosovo in key dimensions compared to the year 2021. Specifically, Kosovo has shown significant progress in key areas such as: Trade Policy, Investment Policy and Promotion, Agriculture Policy, Energy Policy, Tax Policy, Tourism Policy, Education Policy, State-owned Enterprises, and Digital Society. These dimensions have achieved the highest scores and rankings compared to the progress made in 2021.
Moreover, Minister Hajdari participated in the ministerial panel at the conference, discussing the topic of 'Sustainability as a Driver of Economic Growth'. She highlighted the government’s main accomplishments in terms of policy making, laws, and their implementation, which have resulted in enhanced performance in most of the dimensions mentioned above.
Furthermore, she emphasized the measures for implementing Industrial Policy 2030, which is dedicated to unleashing the potential of industries to advance the goal of creating a more digital, circular, green, competitive and globally integrated economy, focused on innovation and digitization, for the social, economic, and environmental transformation of the Republic of Kosovo.
