The Platform of the National Register of Technical Regulations is published

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) launched the Platform of the National Register of Technical Regulations, which contains legal provisions on the marketing of non-food industrial products. The platform was developed in cooperation with the Project “Free Movement of Goods”, which is funded by the European Union (EU).

The Substitute of the Secretary General of MTI, Gentiana Islamaj, praised the contribution of the European Commission, respectively the leader of the Free Movement of Goods project, Vitomir Fister, for his support in drafting the legislation and the creation of a platform of electronic register.

She stressed that the creation of this platform enables the government institutions, private sector, civil society, as well as CEFTA member states to be informed about the legislation in force and the future one that may affect trade between countries.

Whereas, the leader of this project, Vitomir Fister, stressed that the creation of this platform, which will be administered by MTI, is very important for the society and institutions of Kosovo. From this platform will benefit all relevant ministries and other authorities in the framework of free movement of goods and product safety in the Kosovo market.

He also thanked MTI for the fruitful cooperation and coordination of activities for the realization of this platform.

This platform, which is in internal institutional use and which will be public in the first half of 2021, will create experiences that will be very valuable after Kosovo's membership in the World Trade Organization and the EU, as that these organizations have the same notification procedure for technical rules in preparation.
