After two visits of the Deputy Minister Faton Thaçi, in Italy, concerning the economy and investments, the first step are taken in concretizing the Italian investments in Kosovo.
Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Faton Thaçi, today met with Pierpaolo Cavaglieri, representative of the Italian company "Prima Produzione Europe Di Alkekengi Physalis", where as a result of two visits with Italian businessmen, the concretization of the investment in Kosovo by an Italian entrepreneur began.
Deputy Minister Thaçi informed his counterparts on MTI achievements, specifically about the business climate, fiscal policies, and the security which Kosovo offers to foreign investors.
Thaci informed the businessman that the agriculture sector is identified as a strategic sector for foreign investment, which helps economic growth and job creation.
Pierpaolo Cavaglieri said that he is satisfied with the development of new projects in Kosovo.
"It is a new and only project in Europe that we are trying to implement in Kosovo as well. This project has to do with agriculture and development of agriculture in general, specifically fruit ALKEKENGI for what we are the first in the world, "he said.
The cultivation of this product is very profitable for Kosovo farmers and for this we will bring the plant from Italy to Kosovo for the processing of this product, and farmers will have guaranteed the sales market.
At the end, they agreed to continue their cooperation and coordination the activities until the finalization of the project.
