The Minister of Trade and Industry, Bajram Hasani, at the meeting with USAID representative, Lee Sara Williams, presented priorities of the institution he leads.
Hasani highly appreciates the support of the American people to Kosovo, emphasizing that he remains committed to continuing close co-operation with USAID.
"For sure, we have a good cooperation with USAID and we are implementing few of ongoing projects, at the same time, we also asks to continue our cooperation in future in important areas for us," said Hasani.
Minister Hasani mentioned few ongoing projects that USAID is supporting, as the drafting of the Law on Business Organization and other project in doing business reforms.
Hasani informed USAID representative that the objective of the Ministry of Trade and Industry is membership in the World Trade Organization.
"We are also drafting the draft law on inspection reform and in this frame we are making inspectorates’ fusion. In regard to trade policy, our objective is membership in the World Trade Organization and the drafting the new law on internal trade regulation, “said Hasani.
While, Williams emphasized that Kosovo has made progress in doing business area, and expressed readiness to provide further support. According to her, USAID is an institution that will continuously support MTI.
"We are here to help for future projects," said Williams.
