The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, hosted a meeting with the Rector of AAB University, Dr. Blerim Olluri, and the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Venera Llunji, with whom she discussed the importance of strengthening cooperation between public institutions and academia in the development of public policies and the advancement of innovation.
During the meeting, special attention was given to AAB University’s initiative to organize the International Conference on Technology and Artificial Intelligence, as well as the efforts of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation to integrate new technologies, including artificial intelligence, into institutional work.
The possibilities for the use of artificial intelligence to contribute to improving the quality of public services, increasing efficiency, and advancing institutional transparency were discussed.
Assessing innovation as one of the main pillars of the Ministry’s work, the parties agreed that MIETI will contribute to the conference sessions, as well as identify new areas of cooperation with AAB University for capacity building and the development of programs that connect academia with the private sector.
Cooperation between public institutions, academia, and the private sector was assessed as an important factor for promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological development, as well as for accelerating the economic transformation of the Republic of Kosovo.
