The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation (MIETI), Mimoza Kusari-Lila, hosted a World Bank delegation consisting of Simon Carl O’Meally, Lindita Lepaja and Fjolla Restelica Ahmeti, with whom she discussed the acceleration of digital transformation and the development of artificial intelligence in Kosovo.
During the meeting, new opportunities for cooperation between institutions and the advancement of the digital agenda were discussed, with a focus on the use of new technologies for the benefit of citizens and economic development.
One of the important areas of discussion was the start of work on building a legal and regulatory framework for the integration of artificial intelligence in public services, including those provided by MIETI. This framework aims to establish a stable basis for the use of AI and new technologies in a safe and efficient manner.
The meeting also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the development of advanced digital infrastructure, the digitization of industry through technological eco-parks, professional training programs in the education system, as well as the security and protection of digital data.

Minister Kusari-Lila underlined that cooperation with international partners, such as the World Bank, is important for advancing this agenda and for creating an economy where technology, innovation and entrepreneurship contribute to the generation of more jobs and economic growth in Kosovo.
