The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, participated in the reception organized on the occasion of the official visit to Kosovo of the State Secretary for European and International Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia, Christian Wiermer, who is staying in Kosovo for the first time.
During the meeting, institutional cooperation, economic relations and opportunities for further deepening the partnership between Kosovo and Germany were discussed, with a focus on economic development, investments and inter-institutional cooperation.
On this occasion, the close relations between Kosovo and Germany were appreciated, which over the years have been built not only on political and institutional cooperation, but also on strong human ties between the two countries.
Special attention was paid to the role of the Kosovar diaspora in Germany, which continues to be a strong bridge of cooperation between the two countries. Thousands of Kosovar citizens living and working in Germany contribute to strengthening economic, social and cultural ties, and play an important role in Kosovo’s investment and economic development. Over 150 thousand members of the Kosovar diaspora live in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia alone.
During the reception, it was emphasized that these strong ties constitute an important basis for the further expansion of cooperation between Kosovo and Germany, as well as for the creation of new opportunities in the field of economy, investment and sustainable development.
