The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, participated in the solemn opening of the Women’s Fair, organized by the Association of Women Entrepreneurs at the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce.
This event brought together around 50 organizations and businesses led by women entrepreneurs, demonstrating the potential, creativity and dedication of women in Kosovo and the region. The fair created a space for promoting their products and services, as well as strengthening cooperation between institutions, the private sector and development partners.
On this occasion, Minister Kusari-Lila emphasized that support for women entrepreneurs remains one of the policy priorities of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation.
She underlined that, through grant schemes, funding mechanisms and the creation of a special Division for Women Entrepreneurs within the Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, MIETI aims to provide concrete support for the development of women’s businesses and encourage more and more girls to follow the path of entrepreneurship.
The Minister recalled that, following the conference held in June for women entrepreneurs, with the participation of around 300 businesses, as well as through the grant scheme for women entrepreneurs and the priority given to businesses with women shareholders, institutional commitment in this direction will continue.
In this context, she announced that another fair for women entrepreneurs will be organized during August, while in the fall the organization of the Regional Conference for Women Entrepreneurs will be supported, with the aim of sharing experiences and creating new partnerships between women-owned businesses. In parallel, the Ministry will continue to develop policies that strengthen the role of women in the economic development of the country.
Minister Kusari-Lila emphasized that the development of women’s businesses creates new opportunities for the family, the community and the country’s economy.
The Women’s Fair, located in “Mother Teresa” Square in Pristina, will be open tomorrow as well, offering citizens the opportunity to support women entrepreneurs and get to know their organic and local products.
