The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, discussed the importance of creating jobs that support employees and strengthen businesses, in a meeting organized by the Kosovo CSR Network, together with the executive director of this network, Zana Bajrami Rama.
She mentioned the Kosovo Government’s commitment over the past five years to create support schemes for women, youth and children. According to her, expanding the kindergarten network and planning for the development of care institutions for the elderly can help alleviate the burden of family care, which often limits women’s opportunities to participate in the labor market.
Minister Kusari-Lila said that the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, through grant schemes and support programs, is creating opportunities for businesses to develop, digitize, innovate and expand into new markets. These measures, according to her, also contribute to the creation of more flexible work models and to improving the balance between professional commitments and family life.
She announced that MIETI will continue the dialogue with businesses to identify their needs and challenges, in order for support policies and programs to be concrete and respond as best as possible to their requirements.
