The company “Electro Plus” has opened its factory for the production of electrical transformers in Zubin Potok, relocating the activity it previously carried out in Vushtrri and expanding its production capacities.
At the new location, in addition to producing electrical transformers, the company will also carry out their testing and certification through advanced technology.
The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, participated in the opening of the factory, evaluating the investment as an important development for the local economy and local production.
Kusari-Lila emphasized that after strengthening law and order, security and the institutional presence of the Republic of Kosovo, sustainable economic development constitutes an important step for this part of the country.
She said that the opening of the factory is good news for the citizens of the area, especially since most of the employees are expected to be local residents. According to her, creating jobs and involving citizens in economic activity is one of the best ways to integrate them into social and economic life and create opportunities for a better life.
Minister Kusari-Lila congratulated the company’s owners, Ferdane and Hetem Terllabuqi, for their vision, work and investment, appreciating their contribution to the creation of new jobs and economic development.
From the minister’s previous visit to this company, during preparations for the investment in May, to the official opening of the factory, the investment has entered the implementation phase and is now expected to make a direct contribution to increasing local production, reducing imports and increasing export potential.
The production of transformers in the Republic of Kosovo also contributes to strengthening the capacities of the local industry and energy infrastructure, enabling such products to be manufactured, tested and certified in the country.
“Electro Plus” currently employs 23 workers, while the company is in the process of expanding its staff and aims for the number of employees to reach 45 in the coming days.
