The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, visited the local company “Passable”, founded in Prishtina in 1992, which has been active for over three decades in the distribution of food, hygiene, and cosmetic products within the Kosovo market.
During the visit, Minister Kusari-Lila gained firsthand insight into the company’s operations, its growth, and its contribution to the local economy. “Passable” currently employs over 150 people and, under the leadership of Refki Havolli, supported by Muhamet and Ardian Havolli, stands as an example of a local enterprise that invests, creates jobs, and contributes to the country’s economic development.
The meeting also addressed the need for businesses to operate within an environment characterized by clear rules, financial discipline, and a predictable business climate.
In this regard, Minister Kusari-Lila emphasized the importance of passing the Law on Late Payments, which the Ministry aims to proceed for approval. The law seeks to prevent unjustified payment delays and establish clear payment deadlines between businesses, thereby helping to strengthen financial discipline in the market. This law also aims to reduce the risk of liquidity problems and bankruptcies that could arise from the failure to collect financial obligations on time.
Minister Kusari-Lila emphasized that local businesses are a key pillar of Kosovo’s economy and that institutions will continue to work on creating policies and mechanisms that offer them greater security, competitiveness, and room for investment and growth.
She noted that strengthening confidence and creating stable conditions for the development of local businesses equates to strengthening Kosovo’s economy itself.
